Questions and answers on the Escape Room Truck

What is an escape room game?

An escape room game is easy to play. Between four and nine people can take part in each game. The players have 40 minutes to solve riddles posed to them in the room. The goal is to fulfill the mission as quickly as possible.

Before the game, all participants receive an introduction from the game master, who monitors the game the whole time and can give tips. Because of this, all of the participants should be present 15 minutes before their booked slot. The games can be solved with teamwork, concentration, team spirit, and skill.

What does the escape room game cost?

Your participation is free of charge.

How long does a game last?

The time limit for completing the mission successfully is 40 minutes. However, please plan approx. 1.5 hours for the entire experience.

Are there any rules?

Yes. The instructions given by the game master must be observed. If the player accidentally violates the rules of the game and the instructions of the game master, the game will be stopped.

Are any aids or resources allowed?

No. Aids like cell phones, flashlights, pocket knives, pins or other tools are not permitted. Lufthansa Group accepts no liability for the loss or damage of property stored in the truck.

Can you leave the room in case of an emergency?

The room is not locked so you can leave it at any time. The game master also monitors the group via video camera, and knows whether anything is wrong at all times. The video is not saved.

Are all of the objects in the room part of the game?

No. Some objects are not part of the game and are clearly labeled as such. These include technical elements such as cameras, which are connected to the game administrator. Touching these elements is prohibited and will result in the game being stopped.

What happens if participants do not show up?

In principle, the game requires only a group size of four participants to play. If the team does not meet the minimum size, the game master will decide what to do next.

Can non-German speakers participate?

Yes. The escape room game is bilingual, and can be solved completely in English.

What is the top rankings list?

A top rankings list with playing times for the individual groups will be updated the entire time the truck is on the road. The list is available on this website. Compare your time with other participating groups; attractive prizes will be awarded for each region. Prizes will be awarded after the end of the overall tour.

Is there a coat room?

Yes. You will be able to deposit your clothes in the cabinet or at the cloak hanger before the game.

Is a transfer to the truck offered?

No. Please organize your arrival and departure transportation yourself.

Can I take anyone with me into the Escape Room Truck?

Your invitation to the Escape Room Truck is personally and cannot be transferred. Unfortunately, due to the limited number of participants, no accompanying guests are allowed.

Do I need to wear any specific clothing?

No. The escape room is clean and hygienic. You can play in your normal office attire. Comfortable shoes are recommended.

Can I cancel my registration?

If you have a confirmed booking and are unable to take part in the escape room game, please cancel your registration using the “Change registration” button. It is provided in your confirmation e-mail.

What happens, if we don’t solve the game within the 40 minutes?

If they cannot solve one of the riddles, the group will receive tips from the game master so they can continue the game. However, tips will result in a two minute penalty to the time for the rankings list.

Do I have to play the game, or is there any other way to learn about Lufthansa Group airlines on site?

Your contact person will be very happy to inform you about updates from the Lufthansa Group airlines in a separate appointment. If you register for the escape room game, we assume you want to play.

What do I need to take part in the escape room game?

A cool head and a great attitude! The Lufthansa Group will provide the materials you need, which will be hidden or placed inconspicuously around the room. Logical thinking, puzzling and talking to your team members will help you figure out how to solve the many different riddles. You will need the support of each of your team members.

We have registered as a five-person travel agency. Will just the five of us be playing?

In principle, the game requires a group size of between four and a maximum of nine participants to play. Depending on demand, therefore, your booked slot may be filled with up to nine players. Therefore, you may be playing with participants who are not part of your registered group.

Are there restrooms in the truck?

No. However, there are restrooms located near by the truck. At the event day, the Lufthansa Group staff will give you more information and the direction.

Is there food and drink in the truck?

Yes. Depending on the location and time of day, different refreshments and snacks will be available.
